Senior Advisor, Water Resources Systems Engineering
Dr. Masoud Asadzadeh
Dr. Asadzadeh is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Manitoba and a licensed Professional Engineer with deep expertise in water resources systems engineering. His research and applied work spans hydrologic and hydraulic modelling, flood and drought mitigation planning, and climate change impact analysis across complex water systems.
His work integrates physics-based models, data-driven methods, and advanced optimization techniques to evaluate the performance of river-reservoir systems under climate variability and deep uncertainty — including applications for hydropower generation, flood and drought protection, and irrigation support.
As an advisor to Aqua Cura, Dr. Asadzadeh brings academic rigour directly to client projects, supporting model validation, uncertainty management, and the application of advanced water resources modelling to real-world planning and risk assessment challenges.
